1. Who We Are
Auto Master (Pty) Ltd (Registration No. 2025/198072/07) is a South African digital marketplace that connects car buyers, sellers, and service providers. We are not a car dealer, insurer, mechanic, or financial institution.

2. What Auto Master Does
Auto Master gives you a platform to:
- Browse and list vehicles for sale
- Find car parts
- Discover mechanics and service providers
- Access independent car reviews and automotive news
We connect you to other people and businesses. We do not own, inspect, or take responsibility for any vehicle, part, or service listed on the platform.
3. Your Responsibilities
When you use Auto Master, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and honest information in your listings and account
- Not post fraudulent, misleading, or illegal content
- Deal directly and honestly with other users
- Follow all South African laws, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) No. 68 of 2008
4. Our Responsibility to You
Auto Master is a marketplace platform. We are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. This means:
- We do not handle money between buyers and sellers
- We do not guarantee the condition, ownership, or legality of any listed vehicle or part
- We are not responsible for disputes between users
Before you pay for anything: inspect the vehicle or part in person, check the seller's documents, and confirm all terms directly with the seller.
5. Payments to Auto Master
If you pay Auto Master directly - for example, for a premium listing, dealer subscription, or membership - your payment is processed securely through our payment partners (such as PayFast, Peach Payments, or Ozow).
These fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
6. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your account details secure. Do not share your password.
If we find that your account has been used to post false or fraudulent listings, we may suspend or remove your account. We will tell you why unless doing so would compromise an investigation.
7. Your Personal Information
We collect and use your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You can read our full Privacy Policy.
8. Data Retention After Account Deletion
If you delete your account, we will remove your personal details from public view. However, if you had active or historical listings on the platform, we are required to keep certain records in a secure, encrypted state for a reasonable period. This is to protect against fraud and to comply with our legal obligations. This information will not be shared with anyone except law enforcement if legally required.
9. Intellectual Property
The Auto Master name, logo, and website content belong to Auto Master (Pty) Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our written permission.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
Auto Master includes links and buttons that take you to websites or apps operated by other companies. These currently include Naked Financial Technology for insurance referrals, WhatsApp for messaging and our community group, and Facebook/Meta for our social page.
Car news and reviews
Car news, articles, videos and reviews displayed on Auto Master may be submitted by independent contributors or sourced from third-party creators and publishers. They do not necessarily represent the views or opinions of Auto Master.
Auto Master does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability or suitability of this content. Opinions, specifications, recommendations and statements belong to the relevant contributor, publisher or creator. Verify information independently before making a purchase or vehicle-related decision.
Some content may be hosted on or link to third-party websites or platforms, including YouTube. The relevant third party's terms and privacy policy apply when you interact with that content. Auto Master does not control or guarantee its continued availability.
When you follow an external link, you leave Auto Master. The third party's own terms, privacy practices, security and availability apply. We do not control third-party websites or apps and cannot guarantee their content, products, prices, quotes, messages, availability or security. A link does not by itself mean that Auto Master represents or endorses that third party.
Check the destination, terms and privacy policy before giving personal information, sending a message or making a payment. Do not share passwords, verification codes or other sensitive information through public groups or with an unverified person.
Naked insurance referrals
Auto Master only provides a link to Naked's website. Naked handles the quote, any purchase and the policy directly. Auto Master does not collect or pre-fill quote information, submit a quote, compare insurance products, recommend whether a product is suitable for you, provide financial advice or intermediary services, or act as Naked's representative or agent.
Auto Master may qualify for a referral reward where a visitor uses our link and meets Naked's referral-program conditions. We do not offer visitors an incentive to buy a policy, and following the link does not oblige you to request a quote or purchase cover.
Third-party terms and privacy
11. Competition Terms and Conditions
Auto Master runs a monthly cash giveaway competition (the “Competition”) to reward our community. By participating, you agree to the following terms.
11.1 Eligibility
- You must be a registered user of Auto Master.
- You must be a natural person, 18 years or older, and a resident of the Republic of South Africa.
- Employees, directors, and immediate family members of Auto Master (Pty) Ltd are not eligible to win.
11.2 Entry Period
- The Competition runs monthly from the 1st to the 1st of the following month (e.g., 1 September – 1 October).
- Entries close at 23:59 on the 1st of each month.
11.3 How to Enter
- Base Entry (1 ticket): Simply register a user account on Auto Master.
- Bonus Entry (1 extra ticket): List a car for sale on the platform within the competition month.
- Bonus Entry (1 extra ticket): List a car part on the platform within the competition month.
- Bonus Entry (1 extra ticket): Register your service (e.g., mechanic, workshop, panel beater) on the platform within the competition month.
- Each action gives you one additional entry. The more you list, the higher your chance of winning.
No purchase is necessary to enter. The Competition is a game of chance, not skill.
11.4 Winner Selection & Announcement
- One winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the competition month.
- The draw is weighted: users with more entries (via listings or service registrations) have a proportionally higher chance of winning.
- The winner will be announced on the 5th of the following month.
- The winner will be contacted via the email address registered on their Auto Master account.
11.5 Prize & Payment
- The prize is a cash amount of R500.00 (five hundred South African Rand).
- Payment will be made via EFT(electronic funds transfer) to the winner's nominated South African bank account.
- Payment will be processed within 24 hours of the winner confirming their banking details via email.
- Auto Master is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect banking details provided by the winner, or by the winner's bank.
11.6 General Rules
- Only one account per person. Multiple accounts will result in disqualification.
- If a winner cannot be contacted within 7 days of the announcement, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner may be drawn.
- Auto Master reserves the right to verify entries, listings, and user accounts to prevent fraud or abuse.
- Auto Master may publish the winner's first name and city (e.g., “John from Cape Town”) on the website and social media for transparency. No other personal information will be shared without consent.
- Auto Master reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the Competition at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or legal requirements.

12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will let you know about significant changes by posting a notice on the website. Continued use of Auto Master after changes means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved under South African law.
